Ohiopyle Over The Falls Race

Once a year, Ohiopyle State Park opens up Ohiopyle Falls for kayakers. This is a major event bringing thousands of people into the town of Ohiopyle.

The Ohiopyle Falls Race is broke into a few parts including a freestyle competition along with a race over the falls. Kayakers' times are recorded with a winner declared at the end of the competition.

The Ohiopyle Falls Race is the only time of the year that Ohiopyle Falls may be ran by boaters. Ohiopyle State Park monitors the waterfall regularly and violators will be found and fined. DO NOT attempt to run Ohiopyle Falls without permission and guidance from Ohiopyle State Park.
