Trail Bike Riding
Along the Youghiogheny river runs the Rails to Trails Bike Trail. This bike trail, once a rail line for the B&O Railroad, is now a completely flat bike trail. It runs the whole way from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania to Washington D.C.
This trail is ideal for families and individuals who don't want to work too hard when it comes to pedaling their bike. Along the trail you will come across many beautiful views. The bike trail follows the Youghiogheny River the whole way through Ohiopyle State Park.
Mountain Bike Trails in Ohiopyle State Park
For those wanting more of a challenge, Ohiopyle offers almost 14 miles of mountain bike trails ranging from moderate to extreme.
The most popular trail is the firetower trail. This starts in Ohiopyle and works its way up Sugarloaf Mountain, one of the highest points in Pennsylvania. If you don't feel like doing climbing you can go to the drop off point on top of Sugarloaf Mountain and then bike your way down.
