Cucumber Falls, located in Ohiopyle State Park, is one of the most visited locations within the park. With its 30 foot drop and gorgeous ravine, it is no wonder that many visitors to Ohiopyle put Cucumber Falls on their 'must-see' list.
Walking down to the Falls is fairly easy, simply park at the Cucmber Falls Trail Head (see below) and walk down the path to the Falls. While down there, be careful. The footing down in the ravine can be very tricky at times. As you get close to Cucumber Falls the mist from the waterfall makes everything wet..and slippery.
If you follow the trail the whole way down you will end up on the Youghiogheny River. More precisely, right above Cucumber Rapid, and below Entrance Rapid. You may catch a glimpse of kayakers or rafters. This section of the Youghiogheny River sees over 150,000 people every year.

Make sure to bring your camera, and bathing suit with you. The pool at the base of Cucumber Falls is a popular, albeit not very deep, swimming and relxing spot. You can even climb in behind the waterfall.
