Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! Okay, well not quite, however, Ohiopyle does have its fair share of wildlife species within the park boundries. Deer, bear, turkeys, small game species and river otters are frequently see in Ohiopyle State Park. When it comes to birds, bird watching has become very popular in the park. Bald Eagles and Osprey are making a comeback and it isn't rare to see them near the Youghiogheny River.
The best places to see wildlife are usually the edges of the Yough River. Guests to the park frequently see deer coming down to the river's edge to drink or even river otters playing in the currents.
